چکیده

Background. Various types of systems have been used for rehabilitation of Spinal cord injury (SCI) individuals, including mechanical orthoses, functional electrical stimulation (FES), hybrid system and robotic devices. Although, the use of robotic systems for rehabilitation of SCI subjects is increasing, there is not enough evidence to determine the positive and side effects of this system. Therefore, the aim of this review article is to find some evidences to support the influence of use of this system on the performance of the subjects. Furthermore, it was aimed to find the difference between the performances of paraplegic subjects while walking with robotic devices. Material and methods. An electronic search was done based on PubMed, Embase, Ebsco, and ISI Web of Knowledge to extract the data from 1970 to 2012. The quality of the research studies was evaluated by use of Black and Down tool. Results. Although 250 papers have been found based on the selected key words, finally 10 papers have been selected for final analysis. There were only two clinical trials done in this regard. There are some improvements which were reported to body function and activities follow the use of robotic device. Conclusions. 1. Although various types of orthotic systems have been developed for paraplegic subjects for walking and rehabilitation, there is not enough research in this regard. 2. It is not easy to determine the therapeutic influence of robotic orthosis on the health status of paraplegic subjects. 3. There is a huge gap for a randomized clini cal trial research to determine the effect of robotic system on the health status of the SCI subjects.

Early detection of oleic acid-induced lung injury in rats using (111)In-labeled anti-rat intercellular adhesion molecule-1.

UNLABELLED Previous study of the bleomycin-induced lung injury model suggested that (111)In-labeled antirat intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (aICAM-1) might be a useful acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) diagnostic agent. We further investigated the ability of (111)In-aICAM-1 to detect inflammation in another ARDS lung injury model. METHODS (111)In-labeled rat polymorphonuclear leuko...

Monitoring Therapy Response of Experimental Arthritis with Radiolabeled Tracers Targeting Fibroblasts, Macrophages, or Integrin αvβ3.

UNLABELLED Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease resulting in chronic synovial inflammation. Molecular imaging could be used to monitor therapy response, thus enabling tailored therapy regimens and enhancing therapeutic outcome. Here, we hypothesized that response to etanercept could be monitored by radionuclide imaging in arthritic mice. We tested 3 different targets, namely fibroblast...

Reducing renal uptake of radiolabeled peptides using albumin fragments.

UNLABELLED In most types of peptide receptor radionuclide therapy, the maximum activity dose that can be administered is limited by high and persistent renal retention of the radiolabeled peptides, which is, at least partly, mediated by the megalin receptor. Several agents that interfere with renal reabsorption of radiolabeled peptides have been identified (e.g., lysine, arginine, succinylated ...

Hard x-ray resonant scattering study of Ni81Fe19(111)/CoO(111) exchange biased bilayer

We have employed hard x-ray resonant magnetic scattering to study the bulk antiferromagnetic domain state of the archetypal epitaxial Ni81Fe19(111)/CoO(111) exchange biased bilayer (Ni81Fe19 = Permalloy = Py). Tuning the x-ray energy to the Co K-edge, we were able to detect the ( 1 2 1

Use of Mixed CH3-/HC(O)CH2CH2-Si(111) Functionality to Control Interfacial Chemical and Electronic Properties During the Atomic-Layer Deposition of Ultrathin Oxides on Si(111).

Silicon surfaces terminated with a mixed monolayer containing both a propyl aldehyde functionality and methyl groups were prepared and used to control the interfacial chemical and electronic properties of Si(111) surfaces during atomic-layer deposition (ALD) of Al2O3 or MnO. Si(111) surfaces functionalized only with the aldehyde moiety exhibited surface recombination velocities, S, of 2500 ± 60...
